- Cottage Grove Historical Society - This group celebrates the filming of The General near Cottage Grove, Oregon with a “Walk in Buster’s Footsteps!” tour. Cottage Grove also has this crazy mural celebrating Buster and The General, which practically demands to be photographed.
- The Damfinos, aka The International Buster Keaton Society - They hold an annual convention, give discounts on merchandise, have an online and print quarterly newsletter, AND (they don’t use this as a selling point for some reason) but upon joining, you get a membership card. Not a lot of places give you discounts just because you’re a member of the Buster Keaton fan club, but I assume it’s only a matter of time. This year the convention is October 7-8 in Muskegon, MI.
- Project Keaton - I’ve already posted about this previously, but The Kitty Packard Pictorial is having a month-long celebration of creative exchange, art and invention, with Buster Keaton as inspiration. Also, there will be giveaways. :) Project Keaton has a Tumblr presence here.
- TCM Buster Keaton Month - I’ve already posted about this at least four times, too (I’m over-eager!) but Turner Classic Movies is having a month long celebration of Buster Keaton every Sunday for the month of October. They seem to have temporarily disabled their dedicated page, but you’ll see if you visit their main page they have a fabulous Buster background up and information should be easy to find on the schedule.
- Kino International’s Buster Keaton: The Short Films Collection - Kino released this collection of Buster Keaton shorts from 1920-1923 recently and the restorations and extras are beautiful.
- Buster Keaton Museum in Piqua, Kansas - A small museum dedicated to Buster in his birthplace of Piqua, Kansas. They also have an annual celebration called Buster Keaton Celebration in nearby Iola, and all events are free and open to the public.
- Slapstick Festival 2012 - The General will be featured at Bristol’s Slapstick Festival in January of this coming year, organized by Bristol Silents (via Silent London).
- The Blinking Buzzards - A UK Buster Keaton Society which appears to be London-based, they can also be found on Twitter and Facebook. (via Silent London).

I also want to take this opportunity to encourage people to start Buster Keaton events and groups in your own areas - though getting the rights to screen a movie publicly can sometimes be prohibitively expensive, even just having a screening in your home a few times a year for interested people can be a lot of fun. :) If you have an event coming up, or want to add something else to this list, just message me.
